Snap-8
Cosmetic skin peptide
A lab-made chain of eight building blocks with a small chemical cap added, created as a peptide for use on the surface of the skin. It is a longer cousin of a peptide known as Argireline.
Also known as Acetyl octapeptide-3 · Acetyl glutamyl heptapeptide-1 · Octapeptide-3
How it is studied
Its sequence copies the tail end of a natural protein (called SNAP-25) that helps nerve endings release their signalling chemicals. In lab models, researchers describe it as competing with that natural protein inside the machinery nerve endings use to release those signals.
Research context
A reference tool in research on cosmetic skin peptides and on how nerve endings release their signalling chemicals. Research use only.
Research area
Skin, hair & pigment research. This group looks at small peptides — short chains of the building blocks that make up proteins — and copper-carrying peptides that scientists study alongside skin cells, hair-root tissue, and the body's natural color-making cells. Everything here is a reference material for laboratory research only.
Strengths and availability
Listed strengths: 10mg. In stock. 10-vial kit prices are for wholesale members; the shop sells single vials and research bundles.
Certificates of analysis
No third-party certificate is published for Snap-8 on this page. The certificate library lists every report we hold.
